Furniture made out of glass 😳😳😳! Duchess de Berry's Baccarat crystal dressing table (crystal-ormolu-glass); now housed in the Louvre, Paris. Made at L’Escalier de Cristal (The Glass Staircase), in the Palais-Royal Paris, 1819–1830. The French table and chair are supported on glass parts, although they also have metal fittings that connect the glass. The dressing table in the Louvre has an églomisé top, as well as cut glass supports for the mirror that also hold three candles each. Gilded bronze figures of Flora, the Roman goddess of flowers, and Zephyrus, the personification of the west wind, are merely decorative, not structural. The cut glass supports for the back of the chair are in the form of dolphins, and they match the table legs. The chair also has two cut glass legs and a massive square cut glass base. #thisisparis #visitparis #timeoutparis #mysecretparis #paristimeout #Parisreviewed #Paris #beautifulmatters #glassfurniture #parisianstyle #antiquecrystal #travel #travelphotography #travelholic #traveldiaries #travelogue #museedulouvre #travelblog #travelblogger #frenchbuilding #frenchromanesque #lgbttravel #paris_focus_on #parisianlifestyle #parisienne #parisdetails #museedulouvreparis #thegoodlife #parisarchitecture #museedulouvres Très belle photo de @boyneworleans1850 Bravo à toi
