My thoughts on cardio 🏃‍♂️💭 - I believe cardio should be used as a tool, for example if your target is weight loss, cardio should be used to make sure you stay in a caloric deficit! - Cardio after weight training or before? - If you were to do cardio before weight training, you won’t get the most out of the the session, muscles will be fatigued and your strength won’t be at its maximum potential. - Also, doing cardio after weights will burn more fat! - • Cardio is great because it: - ▪️Helps burn calories and fat. - ▪️Helps reduce the risk of heart attacks and high blood pressure. - ▪️Helps reduce stress. - ▪️Increases metabolism. • 🔥 DM if you have any questions! 🔥 Follow @cg.trains for more! #cardio #fitness #weightlossinspo #abs #gym

Lifting weights does NOT make you “bulky!” Tbh lifting weights can increase your LEAN body mass which increases the overall amount of calories you burn in a day. Abbiamo sempre pensato che le cose migliori non nascano nella quantità. Anzi crediamo sia proprio quello il problema: la ricerca spasmodica del numero e della conseguente riduzione ad esso di qualsiasi forma di valore. Una forma di neominimalismo oggi trova ragion d'essere nel suo opporsi alla massiva superficialità che caratterizza il panorama del nostro sport, per ricercare invece quello che rende speciale ogni cosa, la propria singolarità. Se pensiamo a come dovrebbe essere la casa dello sport del futuro questo è quello che vediamo: un luogo che non ricerca clamore o apprezzamento ma anzi se ne sottrae, che non tende ad omologare le singole individualità che lo compongono ma alimenta invece la personale crescita di ogni individuo, poiche una casa è fatta di mattoni. OBLIQUES: Training obliques can sometimes be difficult due to it’s thin muscle anatomy that wraps around your waist. With that being said, there are many ways to get rid of those ‘love handles’ with exercises that involve a lot of trunk rotation with added resistance. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• When exercising your obliques, be mindful to stay away from (but don't entirely eliminate) ‘side crunches’ as it may in fact make your waist BIGGER. Instead, emphasize movements that are mainly based on ‘rotation’ which works in the same direction as the muscle fibres and will consequently increase mobility and core strength. The ratio for ‘Rotational Oblique Exercises verses ‘Oblique Side-Crunches’ should be 4:1. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• For beginners, introduce these core/oblique motions with no resistance, this will minimize risk of injury and also heighten your flexibility. For advanced workouts refer to the video above and stay tuned as more ab and oblique videos will be coming shortly!
