Slide the arms alongside the body with the palms facing down. The fingertips should be lightly touching the heels. 2. Press the feet into the floor, inhale and lift the hips up, rolling the spine off the floor. Lightly squeeze the knees together to keep the knees hip width apart. 3. Press down into the arms and shoulders to lift the chest up. Engage the legs, buttocks and mula bandha to lift the hips higher. 4. Breathe and hold for 4-8 breaths. 5. Its CRUCIAL to engage your glutes properly because a) they are your largest muscle group and b) they are responsible for most daily activities; right from standing out of bed in the morning 😴 to balancing your hips/core. . 👇🏻3 sets of 10 OR 2 sets of 15 🔥 . ✔️ Monster Walks - focus on driving the outside edge of your foot not just against the band, but into the ground as well. I imagine I'm to take the inside of my foot right off the ground. . ✔️ Band Kickbacks (variation 1) - try to drive your leg straight out behind you, you should feel your glutes "bunched up" high as your leg is fully extended behind you. . ✔️ Upright Clamshell - HELLO SIDE BUTT! 😂 These are a great compliment to Monster Walks because they burn your side glute right out! . ✔️ Banded Kickbacks (variation 2) - by putting the band on my ankle as opposed to my knee, I changed my leverage and made the exercise a bit harder. ☺️ . ✔️ Banded Hip Thrusts - I love this exercise so much 😍 Focus on pushing your hips high up at the "top" of your lift, and try to rotate them towards yourself as well for an extra burn 🔥🔥 . . I've been loving throwing HIIT circuits into my training lately to mix things up. This is another one you need to save! And all you need is a low-mid-height step. Some of these moves for reps intermixed with some for time. Repeat the entire circuit 2-4x through. 1️⃣Step hop-over plank shoot-outs, 8-12 reps 2️⃣Split bench jumps, 20-40 seconds 3️⃣Pistol squats to step, 6-8 reps each leg *Modify as needed! 4️⃣Quick step-ups, 20-40 seconds, *Maintain a low stance as you move those feet up to the bench and back down as fast as you can go 5️⃣Single leg step crossovers, 8-12 reps EACH leg, *add weight to increase difficulty Tag your workout friends below and get ready to sweat!👇🏻
