MAINTAINING A HEALTHY DIET 🌱🥑 • It is very common for many to struggle with finding balance in their lives in all aspects; one major being with food. I too am still learning. • The 🔑 to obtaining a “healthy diet” is by not having one! Diets come and go. They succeed and they don’t. They cause temporary happiness and long term pain. Yet so many of us still out our bodies through that trauma? This needs to STOP! • We need not restrict ourselves, nor categorise foods as “good” or “bad”. Food is food. It’s that simple. They are units of energy that we need to survive, so why should we limit that energy? Eating in moderation should be what we all strive for! Not seeing how few calories we can consume each day and then binging a few days later, due to cravings and your body going into fight or flight mode. • EAT TO LIVE, NOT LIVE TO EAT 👏🏼🔥

Kale and Sweet Potato Breakfast Bowl 1. 100g Curly Kale washed and dried 2. 2 Tsp olive oil 3. Salt 4. Garlic granules 5. 1 medium sized Sweet Potato cubed 6. 1/4 small red onion finely sliced 7. 1 garlic clove crushed 8. Half an avocado 9. Poached egg Method 1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius 2. In a medium bowl add the washed kale, olive oil, salt and garlic granules. Massage well. 3. Place on a baking tray and roast in the oven for 5-7mins . Watch carefully as it is easy to burn.Remove kale from the oven and set aside . 4. In a shallow frying pan, add a drizzle of oil, onions, crushed garlic,and the sweet potato. Sauté the potatoes for about 2mins and then add a tip of just boiled water to the pan and cover with a lid . Allow to cook for about 10mins or until the potatoes are soft. Add salt if desired. 5. Poach an egg 6. Slice up half an avocado 7.
