People always ask me — how I know the meal prep at @thehotplateco are good for the clients we serve.... First of all I like to point out that every client is different — where one may need carbs because they have a diff Goal , another may have carb or fat restrictions —- then each week we cater meals specifically to their needs. We provide macros for each meal (as pictured ) and go an extra mile to ensure everyone gets what they need!!! I’d like to say we offer just meals , but it’s more of a relationship we sell... We like to believe we are working on your goals with you — not just hitting a quick food lick — week after week. Meal prepping means so much to me—- reason is because I have struggled personally with weight and have tried every diet under the sun — from vegan (entire breastfeeding journey) to vegetarian, pescatarian , carnivore , now Keto , and geeesh the list goes on!!! Sunday self-serve is ready for the week. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 After grocery shopping I always wash and prep all of the food that is considered self-serve in our house. Self-serve for my kiddos means help yourself without asking and it’s always an okay snack (any time of day, bedtime snacks, etc.) It also helps me when I’m packing lunches and snacks, or as a side dish when dinner doesn’t include something they will definitely eat or if we have a busy/late night. There’s something about having things truly ready to grab that makes kids eat it. I could leave the baby carrots in a bag or leave the grapes on the stems but they wouldn’t eat it. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ PS- For the fruits and veggies I do put covers on the containers so they don’t get gross. #healthykidsfood #healthyfood #healthykids #bentobox #mealprepsunday #mealprep #aldifinds #teachermom #lunchbox #lunchboxideas

This is a super simple salmon dish that literally takes 10 minutes of preparation! Easy and healthy go to for when you want to throw something together while studying. Baked Salmon with Asparagus Ingredients: 🐟 4oz salmon 🐟 1 lemon (sliced) 🐟 1 tbsp of finely minced garlic 🐟 salt and black pepper to season 🐟 bunch of dill (however much you prefer) 🐟 2 cups asparagus (chopped) 🐟 1/4 cup water Tip: Preheat oven to 375°F. Place salmon in tin foil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Then add garlic and spread to cover salmon. Place dill on top with a few slices of lemon, along with a squeeze of lemon around. Then wrap tin foil around to create a pocket, the put in oven for 25-30 minutes to bake. Any flavor: vanilla is always a safe bet! If you haven’t bought this protein brand yet - you’re seriously missing out! It’s relatively cheap ($30ish at vitaminshoppe or amazon) & it literally tastes like gold. I tried Chocolate Frosted Cupcake for the first time today and it’s my least favorite so far - however still beats out any other protein brand for baking! . . 👉🏼70mL of unsweetened applesauce! Unsweetened applesauce is moist & relatively low in calories! Side note: it tastes EXACTLY the same as regular applesauce so if you ever wanna have applesauce and save some carbs & calories - try out unsweetened! . . 👉🏼5 grams of black onyx coco powder OR regular coco powder! Black coco powder is a GAMECHANGER & tastes Oreo-like! Highly recommend for flavoring - you buy on Amazon!!! . . 👉🏼1 teaspoon of baking soda. Helps it rise & adds volume! . . In 15 minutes, we were able to heat up 4 cups of our homemade slow-cooked tomato sauce with beef (recipe on blog) from our #freezerstash and make 4 servings of fresh pasta. What a fun date night. Has anyone else made their own pasta before? I was surprised how easy it was with the pasta machine.

You just went (hopefully) quite a few hours without hydration! Give your organs a running start for the day! . 💗 Think of 3 things to be thankful for and say them out loud. Trust me! Turn your mood around or determine the direction of your day. You might be surprised by the power of gratitude! You might be surprised at how powerful gratitude is! If you want, you can even take the step of writing them down and keep a growing list every day! . 💗 Make a menu for the week and/or meal-prep. Wanting to eat healthy and fuel your body can sound simple… until the week gets rolling and life happens! . 💗 Try adding something new to your fitness routine! On today’s edition of #mealprepSunday, I want to share a secret ingredient with you...⁣ ⁣ Scallions! ⁣ ⁣ Now, if you’re rolling your eyes at this post, hear me out ☝🏾⁣ ⁣ I know a lot of folks who don’t use regular onions because they’re strong and can overpower other ingredients. If you’re like me, you also end up crying like a baby while you cut them 🤦🏽‍♀️⁣ ⁣ Scallions are green, and usually have white tips (which is where the strongest flavor will be). They won’t have as much of a bite as a yellow or red onion. ⁣ ⁣ Scallions make great toppings for soup, chili, or even quinoa bowls like this one. You can also try tossing them into your favorite salad for added flavor.
