The theme from today’s meditation class

And then this...🙏🏼💛🧡💙🖤 . The theme from today’s meditation class was resilience🌿. . Resilience is the ability of ride🏄🏻‍♀️ the highs🌊 and lows😕. . I’ve been working on my resilient muscles💪🏼 through meditation🧘🏻‍♀️ for a little while now. Sometimes it still takes me time to bounce back, but other times I’m able to take deep breaths, get my oils (cause they are my tools), and gracefully keep going, pushing, and trying🌿🌿🌿. I’m amazed by my students, their bravery, their willingness to keep showing up to find peace and also maybe to take a nap during the sound bath, cause a lil snooze doesn’t hurt anybody😴😜. . Anyway, I came home and witness this beautiful reminder🌥🌙, of the beauty and miracles all around us🙏🏼💛🧡💙🖤.

Focusing on the breath is a powerful way to still the mind . conversely when we become unbalanced in our daily life if we are distracted then the breath goes out of balance and when the breath is out of balance it affects our mind and state of being. Aligning the mind with the breath , focusing on the breath has a very calming effect. It can restore and rejuvenate the entire body. In my meditation coaching sessions we always do mini meditations together and focus on the the breath as a powerful tool to calm the mind and body and bring our attention to one point. We use the breath as a focus for the entire meditation. When thoughts arise I remind then to become the witness like watching clouds in the sky and just let those thoughts go. Focusing on the breath is an entire meditation in itself and can take you very deep into the state of stillness and silence within. #meditatedaily #personalgrowth #selfawareness #stillmind #openheart #letgoofthoughts #melbourne

WORKOUT WORKOUT !! Did this sweaty little workout the other day with no goals in mind but purely to move my body in a way that I wasn’t  used to! I’m not certified (YET, working on it rn) but I wanted to share this with you simply because I get in workout “ruts” every now and then, and its nice to switch it up sometimes. This one got me drippin . WARM UP: walk outs with push ups set 1: mountain climbers (30 seconds)  pulse squats with squat jump (30 seconds) rest (20 seconds) push ups (30 seconds)  tricep dips (30 seconds) rest (20 seconds) alternating reverse lunges (30 seconds)  burpees (30 seconds) rest (20 seconds)  REPEAT 3X . things that most “influencers” DONT tell you when they post workouts 1.most of them have no credibility or certifications 2.they use their “success story” and what worked for them to create plan and “inspire”  thousands of people 3.they talk like they know what they’re talking about (the scary part)

Missing my van that I left in Santa Fe in preparation of traveling to Hong Kong and Nepal after living in it and exploring the wilds for a month. 🚐Then staying in it at Upaya’s parking lot for chaplaincy core training. Such a deep deep time of both joy and grief in this beautiful program that combines both academic learning and deep spiritual work to help us become better servants and chaplains for this modern time of change. With the best teachers, talked about climate change, colonization/decolonization, power and privilege, the power of prayer and rituals etc. We practiced together and are all getting ready for Jukai. 📿 I also got to laugh and dance with my cohort of wonderful people who all have the common goal of serving and loving.
